Porsche Boxster 986 2.5L (1997-1999) & Porsche Boxster 986 2.7L (2000-2004) dual mass flywheel. Manufactured by LuK. It is recommended that these are changed whilst the clutch is being replaced. There should be no extra work or labour charges incurred as once the clutch is removed, it is only another 8 bolts that have to be undone to remove and replace the flywheel. The dual mass flywheel on the Boxster is prone to failure. It is not a quirk of the Porsche design, it is simply a fact that all dual mass flywheels fitted on all vehicles now require, at the very minimum, a thorough inspection when the clutch is being exchanged. At the very worst case, a replacement will be required. If it fails, the flywheel can go out of balance which can lead to terminal damage to the crankshaft and engine. The cost of a new dual mass flywheel will always be cheaper than an engine rebuild. Consider investing in a new dual mass flywheel when the clutch is being exchanged and you will be investing in some peace of mind.

Firstly, I was most impressed that they phoned me to make sure i wasn’t expecting next day delivery when I ordered on Saturday. I wasn’t but it was a nice touch.
I ordered replacement wheel bolts for my 987 Boxster. They arrived next WORKING day and the quality was good. The items were well packaged and arrived in good condition.
What’s not to like?
The product and delivery were good once I could pay for the parts. Took 2 nights to do it. AND to rub salt in to the wounds 10 minutes after I ordered they sent a 10% discount code to encourage me to finish my basket off from the previous night. Good service??? Will I use again? I would contact Porsche dealer 1st as there is very little in the price for such items and have always had good service from Porsche when I have used them. Just can't contact them out of hours.
Not original but I can get in the driver's door now. Good value for the $$.
