Boxster, Cayman, 986, 987, 996, 997 oil filter housing removal tool. Compatible with all engines that appear in these vehicles. Complete with - a 27mm nut (suitable for a socket or spanner) for removing a "tight" oil filter housing and also for "torquing" up during filter housing reinstallation - a castellated top making it very easy to refit the oil filter housing using only your hands (especially when your hands are oily/greasy). The filter housing should only be tightened to 25Nm. Tighten "hand tight" first, then double check with a torque wrench. A mandatory tool for anybody wanting to change the oil or service their Porsche Note, traditional forms of oil filter strap wrench are not recommended for removing the plastic oil filter housing as these have a tendency to crush, damage and even crack the housings. Furthermore, the final installation torque can not be checked using a strap or chain wrench.
Awesome service from Max at Frazer Parts: 12 days to deliver to New Zealand which is pretty good. It took less than 10 minutes to remove the old struts and install the new ones and they work perfectly. Will definitely buy from Frazer Parts again - thanks very much!
Ordered 10pm at night and was here within the prescribed 48 hours. Every time I order from FrazerParts, I get the same great service.
I was impressed with the fast delivery from Frazer Part.
The bolts were a perfect match on my 996 and a very fair price.
Received in Western Canada on time as described, well packaged, and decent easy to follow instructions
