Suitable for the following models:- 986 Boxster (2.5L), 986 Boxster (2.7L) all models built to 1999 996 C2, Carrera 2, 996 C4, Carrera 4 (all 3.4L engines with 2 & 4 wheel drive) built to 1998-1999 with M96.01 & M96.02 engine codes (NOT 3.6L or TURBO) If you have any doubts about which sensor you require, carefully remove your existing sensor from the air box cover of your vehicle. You will find the Porsche part number marked on the side of the sensing element. Compare it with the part number we have listed. Prone to failure and contamination, this sensor, if it fails, can lead to a rough running engine, poor idle stability, lack of performance and the engine warning lamp being illuminated in the instrument cluster. Some of these symptoms can also be attributed to a failed O2/Oxygen sensor.
