Genuine 986, 987, Boxster, Cayman, 996, 997 & Carrera coolant expansion tank cap and header tank & reservoir lid. These caps seal your cooling system. They also act as a safety valve. The lid keeps the whole cooling system pressurised and operating at a predetermined pressure. Excess pressures are relieved through the lid's integral safety valve. A faulty lid can lead to engine overheating and excessive gas build up and pressurisation of your expansion tank. NO specialist tools are required to fit this part. It's easy and straight forward to install. Just make sure your engine is completely cold when you do this.
