19mm 1/2" square drive soft impact socket. Prevent damage to alloy wheel nuts and lug nuts. This socket fits all Porsche aluminium wheel nuts (pre 1997).
Keep it in your glove box and you'll always have it handy.

NOTE:-
The tighening torque for all pre-97 Porsche aluminium wheel nuts is 130Nm.
The maximum tightening torque that this socket is suitable for is 150Nm.

This part is NEW and is suitable for all vehicles built prior to 1997 model year. (i.e. 924, 928, 911, 944, 968, 964, 993).

In our honest opinion, this is a compulsory glove box accessory for all pre-1997 model year Porsche owners. Most automotive tyres fitters/garages don't have one of these and as a result, the corners of your alloy Porsche bolts get "rounded" off by the much harder steel sockets used by these so called "mechanics". The harder steel socket also lead to "pitting" on the hexagonal faces of the wheel nut which is unsightly and accelerates the rate of corrosion. The potential damage is made even worse if these mechanics insist on using their air tools to remove and reinstall the bolts. In the worst case, the lug nuts can even be cracked by the air tools and the mechanic's socket.

By using this soft socket, you will protect your wheel lug nuts and thus prevent any damage caused to your alloy wheels when the "rounded" nuts have to be removed by other means.

Our recommendation is to permanently keep this 19mm socket in your glove box and simply hand it to the workshop whenever there is a chance that the wheels are going to be removed. It'll save a lot of hassle later on .....and don't forget to ask for it back afterwards !!!!!

The socket's overall diameter is approx 30mm and it's approx 50mm long so it really won't take up any space at all.

Note:- The 1/2" (0.5 inch) square drive is a standard size drive socket as used by all automotive workshops.
